God, grant me the serenity to accept a post I cannot change, courage to walk past the computer without turning it on when I am running late for work, and the wisdom to know the difference between “Come to bed now,” meaning “Lets have some fun,” and “Come to bed now!”, meaning “The computer has to go!”

Super RANT for the morning. Yesterday I couldn’t hit my server at all. Finally at lunch time I put in a service ticket to my web hosting provider asking what was up.
Reply: You need to reset your MX records to the following server DNS xxxxxxxxxx.
I’m sorry I guess I must have missed that email that you were supposed to send me telling me that you were changing over your DNS server Sunday night – grrrrrrrr!
If it wasn’t for the fact that they are dirt cheap and let me have unlimited MySQL databases along with CPanel, I’d be looking else where. Oh well, you get what you pay for.

Well this past weekend I was making Dr. Atkins roll over in his grave. Friday night we had an, albeit late, Valentines Dinner with the couples from church. There were about 30 couples that went out together to a Chinese restaurant and then we played the Newly-Wed game. The youngest couple had only been married 2 years and the oldest have been married a whopping 57 years. Great fun was had by all but Chinese food is NOT carb friendly, well not unless you are on the ALL carb diet.
Saturday night my new boss invited the IT team and our wives to dinner at Roys in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Roys is known for their Hawaiian Fusion food. Excellent gourmet eats and plenty of good conversation, but again not so carb friendly.
Sunday night I put the last nail in the coffin, my small group went out to Los Chorros a Salvadorian restaurant in Wheaton, MD. This is the place where the Hispanics in the area eat – you know the food is authentic! But… wholly cow I must have packed a months worth of carbs into that one meal.
Damage – as of this morning the evil scale says I’m only down to 255 (whah!!)
Oh well back to the drawing board this week.
