I used to love watching the re-runs of Babylon 5. I never really got into the show when it first aired but got hooked later on. While it was a Sci fi show the thing that I enjoyed the most was the dialog. I don’t know who the writers were but they were great. The religious aspects of the show caught my attention the most. There was a group called Rangers who were (as my son would say) crazy killin machines with a monk like religiosity behind every action they took.

This is one of my favorite quotes:

As a MMORPG player I’ve always had one character who has “lived” by that motto. Solid in character, protector to all and willing to lay down ones life for the ultimate cause. It’s the kind of character that one finds the hero portraying in the best of western novels. As a testosterone driven Christian, this has also been a quote that I would love to live up to. What better, than to stand watch against the darkness for the One, and only One.
