If you check out this site using your RSS reader you may be wondering about the sudden influx of posts today. I’ve been having a heck of a time being able to hit my blog and so this I’ve been playing catch up. After the debacle with my host changing the DNS of the server and now this inability to get into my blog it may be time to start looking for a move.
If anyone is using a good, reasonably priced hosting service that gives you the ability to create a number of MySQL databases leave me a comment.
Thanks,
Rong
Hey Rong,
Not sure what you consider “reasonably priced”. I’m using a company called Fluid Hosting and am very happy with them.
They are more expensive than the average host but the service and reliability is way worth it to me.
I use their “Starter” plan and pay 12 months at a time to get the discount. With that plan, I’m able to host up to 8 domains and have 8 mySql databases.
I thought that they also had “value” plans but don’t see it on their site anywhere. I’ll e-mail them and see what the deal is with that.
Thanks Brian. I was able to get a hold of tech support yesterday who apologised profusely. I hadn’t realized the extent of the changes that my hosting provider had made. They have been moving their entire data center and updating their providers which meant an entire change to all server IP’s and DNS settings. Apparently the server I’m on was one of the last ones to be changed which lead to the problems that I’ve been seeing the past few days.
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and see how things go over the next month.
By reasonably priced I mean “dirt cheap”
btw – I thought you were supposed to be on vacation relaxing…
Thanks again!
