Fearless

Firstly let me say that I never do movie reviews. I’m not into critiquing the cinematography of a movie – I just really don’t care about that. What I do care about is the story itself and the characters that make up that story. With this in mind Fearless is without doubt one of the best movies I’ve seen in years.

Without spoiling anything, I found the story very compelling. Watching the main character grow to be totally self absorbed in his need for personal status, I wondered how easily this character could be turned into a Wall Street trader, Lawyer or corporate executive. The fact that this personal greed leads to the destruction of those that he loves the most is flawless in it’s simplicity. This leads to a time of personal introspection and self loathing. In his darkest hour there is a season of grace that brings about a repentant heart that desires to use his skills once again, but this time for the betterment of all. If you look at these basic elements of the story, I think you’ll find a tale that resonates spiritually within all of us.
