Pure rant here, with a hat tip to Challies. I think the title pretty much sums up my feelings about the latest debacle going on with Rick Warren. Here’s the email that I just sent to Saddleback. Can someone please tell me, where are the Elders of this church?!!

Dear Sir,

Based on the recent article in World Net Daily, (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=52998) I too have to ask the question of why you giving Senator Obama access to a house of God? I understand you and your wife’s commitment to assisting those in Africa who are suffeing from HIV and AIDS infection. I know that you have carried this commitment into your local community. But I can’t help believing that you are doing a great disservice to the sanctity of the pulpit, in sharing it with a man so incredibly out of touch with Christ. Knowing how Sen. Obama will use this politically to further agendas that go against everything you believe, how do justify this. Are the ends truly worth it? Do you see that the ends he’s seeking may not be those that you are?
If you are so hell bent on joining forces with Sen. Obama then please at least have the decency to make this your personal crusade and leave Saddleback out of it. Bring it down to D.C. I’m sure the news will still pick it up and give both of you the coverage that you desire.
