Hooked on Phonics?

As I was making my daily commute I observed a woman with her child on her way to work. The woman was undoubtedly taking her child to drop her off at day care or pre-school. The child, who could not have been more than 5 or 6, was walking in front of presumably her mother clutching her IPOD and was engaged in selecting the next item for her individual consumption. Upon seeing this, the question above uninvitedly popped into my head… perhaps it was the article I had been reading by Clarence Page in the Rev. Moon’s daily tabloid that encouraged this kind of thinking…
