Monday Rambles

Nothing of any significance to post this morning, but since I haven’t written in ages I feel pressed to do so.

GIG Logo 2007 The wife and I had a great weekend. We both took off early on Friday so we could head up to Gettysburg, PA to the annual Greyhounds in Gettysburg event.
Friday afternoon Battlefield Harley Davidson had an open house and treated us to Hot Dog dinner on their incredible grounds.
If you’re a biker and you’ve never been here before you’ve got to make a point of stopping in and checking out their store, it’s incredible. Harley Street Bob Unfortunately the wife keeps telling me NO when it comes to picking up a toy from their wonderful stock. This year she told me, “Maybe when you’re 50.” I’ll be remembering that comment, dear!

Friday evening the Farnsworth House Inn opened up their spacious front patio to us, with a cash bar and plenty of hors devours. We had a wonderful time chatting with other greyhound fanatics. My wife, who frequents the Greytalk greyhound forum got a kick out of meeting people that she’s only known previously from their online monikers. We then ended the evening by walking around and grabbing a couple of gilati’s.

Saturday was spent checking out the various vendors (our dogs are better outfitted than our kids) and just generally hanging out. On the way home we made our normal pilgrimage to Boyds Bear Country.

Sunday was an incredibly beautiful day in the D.C area. The weather could not have been more gorgeous. At church we had our first annual Ministry Fair. It was great to talk to all the various ministry teams and see what their visions were for the coming year. I even signed up to become an ESOL tutor. We wrapped up the weekend by going over to my Mother-In-Laws and celebrating my wifes birthday.

All in all an incredibly relaxing weekend.

ciao

I’m not worried–things are known to not be remembered even if they are important. Even if this is remembers–I still say NO!
